Read all of my musings of the world, unedited.
Last week I talked all about failure.
I basically spun an entire week’s post into a ridiculously long sob story. If you missed it, feel free to check it out here.
So this week, I’m going to try to be a little more positive. Come to think of it, I think being positive was actually my New Year’s resolution for 2016 (side note: who came up with the concept of New Year’s resolutions?? They’re basically reasons that we set ourselves up to fail! Enough of that, though).
This week, I want to focus on progress.
If you follow me on twitter (I know, I know, shameless plug – hey, I think I’m pretty funny!), you may remember that this weekend I tweeted about how happy I have been lately. Sure, I am in wayyyyy over my head in school work and I have no real career goals, but hey, I seem to be getting along just fine.
This week’s post is going to be short, because like I said, wayyyyy over my head with school stuff. But after last week’s bummer of a post, I want to take this week to remind y’all (is anyone even still reading this? Lol) that it’s OKAY to fail and to fall and not know what you want to do with the rest of your life. Or not be able to figure out how to work VSCO filters on Instagram. Or not be able to motivate yourself NOT to eat leftover Halloween candy and go for a run – okay, maybe these are just me problems.
Maybe you’ve noticed, but when I started this blog, I was in a bad place. Like, felt-like-no-on-cared-about-me-at-all kind of place. And if you’ve been paying attention, I just told you how ridiculously happy I’ve been lately. That, my friends, is PROGRESS! No, it’s not a weird mirror selfie of my abs in the mirror with #progresspic stamped underneath it, but it’s a start.
So hey, chin up. It’s Friday!
And maybe you’re starting today feeling like I did when I started this page on September 1st (happy two months to me!). I promise, every day, there will be a little bit of progress.
Until next time.
